Pros: excellent sound quality and features, good looks and build, uncompressed anti-skip
Cons: difficult to find now, won't play CD-RW's
The Bottom Line: top-notch portable plater if you can still find one
Review: I have owned numerous Panasonic PCDP's over the years. I put them through a lot of abuse, everything from dumping water on them to dropping them on concrete. I've always been happy with both the sound and the durability of the players (the one I...

Pros: Sound quality, build quality, antishock capability, features, battery life
Cons: none really
The Bottom Line: If you really need the wired remote control, aluminum lid, battery gauge and 10 second linear antishock then this player is a good alternative to the SL-CT470.
Review: I bought the step down model from this one, the Panasonic SL-CT470. The cd player is basically the same thing, with a few nice features added on. I'll explain every single difference between the two players and then give you my original review of the...

Pros: Small footprint, curvy aesthetics, nice features, good battery life
Cons: A little fragile for some, no EQ!
The Bottom Line: Buy it as soon as you can, and take your CD collection to the road. Just avoid the traffic you won't hear, believe me it's embarressing =).
Review: My Experience With the SL-CT570
This is a great little machine - finally a CD player that I can go running with (thanks to the 40 seconds of anti-shock option)! And, if I choose, switch back to 10 seconds of anti-shock to preserve battery... |

Pros: Excellent sound, awesome design, high-quality headphones, quick-responding controls, clear LCD screen, skip-free
Cons: LCD screen not backlit
The Bottom Line: Buy it, you won't be disappointed. I feel I have covered everything above to make your decision easy. However, I have skipped some detail; for more information, visit Panasonic's website.
Review: I have owned two portable CD players prior to this one; they were both Sony, which I once thought was a superior brand. In summary, they were expensive, and they both became inoperable after a short time. Here's what happened to my second Sony Discman:...

Pros: Good Look,
Durable,
40 sec Anti-Shock
Cons: Haven't found any yet.
The Bottom Line: Great durability, excellent anti-shock, and a great controller. But best of all, with it's rechargeable batteries, I haven't bought batteries in 6 months. BUY IT, if you want to.
Review: I had a really old Panasonic CD player, and I decided it was time to buy a more up to date one. So when I was shopping, I found the SL-CT570 at a great price. I bought it on the spot, and I wasn't disappointed with it.
One of the great... |

Pros: Build and sound quality
With extra headphones amp +capable of stunning performance
Cons: quality of headphone amp (op-amp) above 80% of power.
standard headphones
The Bottom Line: Hardly you can go wrong with this simple and exquisite sound Panasonic
Review: Looking one weekend in rather busy one hour search for CD player brought
me to buy SL-CT570. What I thought would be a decent top of the line model without special virtues of its own remained to reveal some hidden qualities that one would... |

Pros: cool looking, great sound, antishock works well, remote is very intuitive
Cons: no pause on the remote, poor headphones
Review: This CD player was a replacement for my somewhat venerable SL-S340, which had served me for almost 5 years, and had taken quite a few substantial drops over the years. Though the old player still functioned (somewhat) the fact that the antiskip was...

Pros: Great looks and sound, Anti-shock 4.0, includes AC adaptor and rechargeable NiMh AAA's
Cons: EQ sucks, includes crap headphones, Asian market version is so much better (read review please)!
The Bottom Line: Excellent sounding portable with great looks and good functionality. A great bargain if found for under $100. Remote kinda sucks though, only basic controls.
Review: I got this portable CD player about 2 months ago. At the time, I was torn between this and the SL-CT470 (lower end model, no remote, only 40 sec. Anti-shock mode). However, there was a sale and the 10 sec. linear Anti-shock mode is way better sound...
